Replacing a Lost Textbook
There are options for replacing an EGUSD textbook:
Option #1) PAY the full EGUSD replacement cost of your textbook. Ask the library staff regarding the exact placement cost. Note:
If the lost/paid textbook is found, a refund will be issued up to one
year of receipt of payment. Refund checks are mailed from the EGUSD.
Option #2) Make regular payments with the total cost of the lost book to be paid off before the end of the school year. Note:
If the lost/paid textbook is found, the student will be issued a refund
for the amount paid up to one year after receipt of the last payment.
Refund checks are mailed from EGUSD.
Option #3) Save money and self-purchase a replacement textbook online.
See links on this page to textbook replacement forms for each school
and follow the directions exactly. You must order replacement textbooks
by the exact ISBN number for the book to be accepted. Note:
If you decide to purchase a replacement textbook on-line, the district
will NOT issue a refund for a self-purchased book if the original
textbook is found.
Middle School Textbook Replacement Handout
Identification Cards:
The library makes ID cards for new students and
replacement ID cards for students who have lost their ID cards. New
students who enroll after the fall make-up picture date will receive a
free ID card. Replacement ID cards cost $5.00. Students may request a
replacement ID card in the main library before school, during lunch or
after school. To avoid disappointment, purchase your ID card in advance
of special events. New students will stop at the library during their
orientation to receive textbooks and take their ID pictures.
